Keeping your tools sharp is the key to getting the best performance out of them!

Leather tools such as knives, replacement blades, swivel knife blades, lacing chisels, and even needles, tend to get dull quickly with use. That’s why it’s important to regularly strop them to maintain the sharpest edge possible! Even brand-new tools should be stropped before use. Most people wouldn’t think about sharpening the blades on their utility knives, but wow, what a difference it makes!

This narrow, lightweight, wooden strop is super easy to use and makes quick work of your sharpening needs! Features two sides, each affixed with a piece of veg tan leather: one side has the full grain (smooth) and the other has the flesh side (rough). The dual surfaces provide just the right amount of abrasion to allow you to sharpen your tools and blades to a final, micro-edge!

For best results use with our Jeweler’s Rouge Polishing Compound (Item #356-332300) and optional honing oil of some sort. (Kevin has even been known to use sewing machine oil if it’s handy!)
